Venue Spotlight: 8 Northumberland Avenue
LONDON
In the world of events, finding a venue that balances style, scale and ease of delivery is no small feat. These are the reasons why 8 Northumberland Avenue continues to be one of our most trusted recommendations at Neon Touch. Tucked just behind Trafalgar Square, it brings together elegant Victorian architecture and future-facing event tech - all in the centre of London.
From high-energy conferences and polished awards evenings to festive Christmas parties and intimate private dining, this venue adapts beautifully to whatever we need it to be. With experienced in-house support and flexible room configurations, it’s a space that works for a lot of our clients.
Where History Lends a Hand
Originally opened in 1887 as the Hotel Victoria, this building welcomed Victorian-era travellers with forward-thinking luxuries like electric lights, speaking tubes and hot and cold running water (though only four bathrooms for 500 rooms - a detail that didn’t quite stand the test of time!).
The building has now been respectfully restored to retain its period charm while becoming a modern venue for events. It’s a great example of how heritage and functionality can go hand in hand, and that mix is a big part of why our clients respond so well to it.
Event Spaces That Work for You
Whether you're planning a large-scale corporate event, an elegant dinner or a luxury wedding, the three main spaces at 8 Northumberland Avenue give you the freedom to build a bespoke event. Each area has a distinct character, and all three work just as well on their own as they do together.
The Ballroom
The flagship space. With its soaring ceilings, grand columns and classic detailing, the Ballroom creates immediate impact as guests arrive. It’s large enough for big productions but designed in a way that still feels connected. The built-in lighting and sound systems make it easy to change the atmosphere from professional and polished to high energy party.

The Old Billiard Room
Downstairs, you’ll find this more intimate but equally flexible space. It’s a little more industrial in feel, with exposed brick and a layout that gives you options. We’ve used this space for exhibitions, private dining and drinks receptions and it’s a great companion to the Ballroom when you need breakout or afterparty options.
